Appearance: Martha is not very tall, but she makes up for it with her personality. She has black hair that she always either straightens down or keeps up in a ponytail. She has healthy curves while still being thin. She takes good care of herself, knowing that it is always important to look good in a professional setting, but she doesn't care to overdo it. She has a charming smile and expects to be the only black woman in Malaise. Personality: Martha is primarily an independent woman. She doesn't need anyone to help her survive or help her make a good life for herself. She doesn't let people walk all over her, but she isn't overbearing. Since she has grown up with two older siblings and parents who were on the verge of divorce most of her life, she knows how to play peace keeper. She would rather her own needs were subdued in order to stop the people she loves from arguing, but she won't take shit from most people if she doesn't have to. She is very intelligent, which is evident in that she is a doctor. She is emotionally secure,unconsciously thriving for adventure that she doesn't have in her life more than security. She is resourceful, compassionate, and intuitive, all traits that her in her field and in life. ROLEPLAY: How Your Character Got to Malaise House: Martha worked for the military organization UNIT as part of their medical staff. She was given a choice of hospitals to work in while on temporary leave, and she picked Malaise, as northern Russia was a place she had never been. Symptoms Your Character Experiences (If Any): She's a Doctor not a patient <3 Example Journal Entry: So I've finally settled in here, and I think I'm going to enjoy my time off. This place is so much more laid back than UNIT, but that's to be expected. I really think the room I've been given needs some color, its so bland! I'm going to ask if I can paint it, that could be fun. I miss the turquoise I used to have before my landlord evicted me. Maybe I could do something similar...I'll see what I can do. I've heard rumors that the Doctor is here! I've got to find out if it's true! It's been years since I saw him...maybe this time I'll actually learn more about him since we'll be working together. Not that living together was good enough, oh no. *sigh* Oh who am I kidding, it's probably someone else. Now that I'm all settled, I should probably get my patient list organized. Example Post: Martha Jones never had too much trouble finding her way. This was, of course, something she would always say if anyone asked if she was lost. Unfortunately for her, all thecorridors looked the same. Sighing, she adjusted her white doctor's coat, looking down at her clip board and then up at the numbers over the doors. Apparently , she was in the patients wing. Turning her clip board around the view the map at a different angle, she sighed again, frustrated, and turned around to walk in the other direction. She really should have been used to working in confusing locations, as the UNIT base she was used to working in was a confusing. Really, this was getting ridiculous. She continued walking, her heels clicking against the floor as the numbers on the walls went down. When she spotted the sign on the wall leading towards the self destruction ward, she took another look at her clip board and turned down the other corner. She had intended on just walking around to orient herself, but it was like a maze! Eventually, Martha found herself on one of theterraces that overlooked the grounds. It was freezing, and she had to wrap her arms around herself, but it was beautiful. Leaning on the railing, Martha smiled as she looked out into the distance at the snow and trees.
